I was experimenting with my r/ele and glimmering mark, and as the skill states...

...with that said, I have a bow with a shocking string which I believe changes the property of the bow from physical to lightning but when used with glimmering mark the bow was unable to activate the skill. I tested this skill in "the wilds" on spider, centaurs, and that tree of life? monster. btw...ignore the "1 second" in the picture below, I tested this skill with 7 air magic not 0 obviously

Anyone know why Glimmering Mark wont activate? Does it have to be a lightning spell to activate it? I heard that glimmering used to work with conjure lightning but since the skill was changed and conjure now needs a shocking string as well, so does that make a difference?

did you report this as a bug/ it might just be a bug.

other than that, i have no idea why it wouldnt work.

any other guru's who want to shed some light on this?
...and to SuperJ24 no I have not submitted a bug report, I thought there might be a simiple explaination that Glimmering Mark might activated under certain specific conditions. I guess I will wait it out till April BWE to do some more testing before submitting the report ...two more weeks

Do you have 7+ marksmanship?

I don't think that should matter. If you don't hit the attribute requirement you just do less damage but it still would be lightning damage.
